I've discovered that there is a song by The Sword named after me. This song is from their album "Age of Winters" and is called Freya. Released in 2006, this song actually depicts my leadership of the Valkyries and mentions my falcon-feather cloak and my home where I take my chosen fallen warriors. Here are the lyrics:

"A Sword of fire and an axe of cold
Vision of the sibyl has foretold
Armies gather on the battle-plain
All will fall and earth will die in flame
Here on the battle-plain
We will die in flame
In Falcon's feathers soaring overhead
Choosing warriors among the dead
Twilight written in the runes of crones
Freya weeps upon her golden throne
Upon her golden throne
We wait for her alone
Call us unto your hall
Take us into your thrall
The battle rages, bit they fight in vain
When all is done it must begin again"

It is also thought that I am depicted on the album cover...

Here is the actual song itself:

Also, I've found this painting of myself. The artist is unknown, but the title is "Norse Goddess Freya":

Another reference I've found of myself is a clothing line which specializes in lingerie (no surprise there seeing as though I'm the Goddess of love and fertility) and swimwear for women. It is simply called "Freya".

  1. That's really cool that you have a song written about you. Do you know if that's just what its about or if it has another meanings that they could have mentioned you for?

  2. I honestly think it's meant to describe a fate that may be after death but I have no idea... Good thought!
